She Could Not Be Found

Whispering darkness latches on my soul,
hung around my neck like an albatross.
I hear the cries;
I hear the sobs,
like the screams in my head deeply lost.
Caged in thoughts; the drowning abounds,
deep down inside, she could not be found.

  1. Absolutely, beautifully written. The title caught my attention, I solving mysteries and puzzles 🧩. Yet, found myself intrigued captivated and inspired by your piece.

    Let her Out
    Let her Be
    Let her be Free
    Let her Freelance who She is and will be…
    Just write….

  2. Thank you so much for these lovely words. It means alot when someone with same roots (writing and poetry) gives their critique. I saw your work too, it’s a beauty.

  3. Lol…I had to triple check to make sure it was you. When I responded to Caged, I had read about 100 pieces. It was like Caged haunted me, my response kept screaming, but I could not remember your name or the name of the post. I wrote a piece titled β€œJust Let Me Be…,” as a dedication.
